How did you get into YouTube?

I started making videos on YouTube in 2006 when I was a sophomore in high school. I filmed and edited my own music videos, and uploaded them to the website to share with my friends. In 2007, I created my first video blog about my life as a high school student. Over time, I grew interested in creating educational videos about different topics, and that's what led me to start producing instructional content on YouTube. Today, I continue to make educational videos about various subjects, but I also enjoy sharing fun stories and engaging with my viewers on a more personal level. What motivates you to keep making videos?

I love being able to help people learn new information or improve their lives in some way. Whether it's teaching them how to cook a new dish or improving their financial literacy skills, there's always something valuable that can be learned from watching one of my videos. Additionally, making educational content is an enjoyable way for me to spend some free time and connect with other people who are interested in the same things as me. What do you think sets your content apart from others on YouTube?

I think what sets my content apart most is the level of detail that I typically go into when discussing each topic. For example, if I'm teaching someone how to bake a cake, I'll walk them through every step of the process step-by-step so that they have a clear understanding of what they're doing. Additionally, many of my videos are accompanied by helpful tips and tricks so that viewers can apply what they've learned right away! Do you have any advice for aspiring YouTubers?

How do you come up with new video ideas?

There are a few different ways that you can come up with new video ideas. You could watch other survivor videos and look for common themes or concepts that are being explored. Alternatively, you could read articles or watch related television shows to get an idea of what is popular in the industry right now. Once you have a general idea of what type of content would be appealing to your audience, you can start brainstorming potential ideas. If you don't have any specific ideas yet, you can also search for existing videos on YouTube that fit your criteria and see how they were executed. There is no wrong way to approach this process – as long as you're open to trying new things and taking feedback from your viewers, you'll be fine.
